Our second QuiltBliss came and went last month in Heber, Utah at Timber Moose Lodge. This retreat is put on by our own Pamela, and her team of experts (a.k.a. her tireless friends like me and Anna) over a long weekend. There are swaps, great food, new friends, trying new techniques in classes, and hopefully sewing something now and then.
This year we were joined by Camille Roskelley, and it was so fun to see so many guests sew up one of her Saltwater blocks.
However, aside from getting to be in the snowy mountains with my favorite people, I love seeing all of the creativity literally bursting out of the grand sewing room. That kind of energy is good for the heart and I feel inspired to try new fabrics, new blocks, and especially to sew one of those dang Sew Together Bags myself. QuiltBliss will be switching to an annual Fall time slot later this year. Registration can be found at quilt-bliss.com. Anna and I will be teaching a new circle pattern we are busily creating, so come and play with us!
