I love to garden. I know that sounds cheesy, but I really do. I should have studied horticultue in college. I didn't really know I loved it til I owned by first home. I had a small baby and no car, so I spent alot of time outdoor in my yard with my 1 year old.
Our first home was built in 1873 and it was just adorable. It had orginally had been built on a walnut orchard and we had one remaining huge walnut tree. I am sure it wasn't 100 years old but it was still gorgeous. Every fall we would spend 2 full weekend racking and sacking up to 30 bags of leaves and walnuts. Side note: walnut husks ruin your grass!
In that small house I dreamed of an english garden. Rose bushes, lilacs and iris were abudant every where. I planted tulips, hostas, purple cone floweres and of course lots of daisies. With the help of my husband (he also loves to garden and does most of our lawn maintenance) we just loved our little home.
Our Garden Gate reminds me of that sweet time in my life. When life was slower, less stressful, and I spend hours in my garden. This little gate was the only this missing!
